Darlin', my God, my Demon,

Wishing you 2022 of the greatest returns.

Zakonna Mavid has just turned one year old today! It's strange to think that a whole year has passed, yet it is only a mere blink or turn of the dial.

Our hearts beat 35 million times per year. The small size of the organ never seems to hinder its productiveness. Its sheer willpower to flourish and bloom like poppies on the battlefield, beat by beat, carries us on and on. So like our heart, Zakonna Mavid shall beat on, at full pace, 35 million times per year.

2021 saw the evolution of Zakonna Mavid as well, as the release of three womenswear collections, one bridal collection and four limited looks. Horah to us!

As we rage on into 2022, I hope that Zakonna Mavid continues to flourish;

  • Bridal wear will take centre stage due to the overwhelming interest shown. It shall begin with a re-imagined look of ZM's core Bridal Collection, with new pieces coming soon...

The Alchemist will conclude in January. The Alchemist has been a difficult yet rewarding collection to present. It features looks that continue ZM's aesthetic and obtain a dark, heavy-metal melancholy I always hoped the brand to achieve.

The Alchemist began as a scribbled poem written in January 2021, originally known as 'The Failed Alchemist'. I discovered this ancient scientific practice while reading and naturally gravitated towards the hopefulness these philosophers must have felt. It was a great contrast to the sheer disillusion I had with the epic and turmoiled breath of a word; hope.

Stomp on to mid-2021, yet to cease in my memory, I had an army tag engraved with the name 'The Alchemist'. No longer was I, the character, solemnly doomed like its first draft. But heroically, optimistic the Alchemist, the creator, the doer of the impossible.

So began the evolution of The Alchemist, into a collection of new beginnings. Like the name change, I hoped to bloom optimism from the origins of disgust and loathing it originally bled from its torn-out busted seams.

At The Alchemist's very core, it is a rejection and acceptance of mine/our shortcomings. The Devil furies on...

The Devil thanks you for your support, and your interest in this fleeting specious momentum that is the internet. I'm deeply humbled.

I hope that 2022 brings all your desires and that you can become more comfortable with The Devil within you.

Thank you for making this experience so fulfilling,

Until next time...

Yours with faith and fury,

The Devil
